In the winter of 2017, I took a break from my time as a freelance digital video producer to volunteer at Openmind Projects, in Nong Khai, on the Thai-Lao border. I stayed at the facility for a month, in exchange of my skills as a cinematographer and editor. I was also the photographer at some of the local schools where Openmind operates, and the pictures are still used today on promotional materials for the organization.  

The second half of my stay in Nong Khai had me look at some of the previously shot footage by different volunteers, to try and cut it down to a video. This footage included testimonials of former volunteers, and I could cut and stitch it into a cohesive story, as seen below.
